Chapter 7
Great Grampians
We rented our first Australian car and drove (safely) 3 hours northwest toward Grampians National Park. A true natural gem. The goal was to hike two different trails in two different areas. To avoid wasting time, we made lasagna for three days and prepared Daniel's new lunch specialty – wraps.
We started with the Mount Stapylton Loop Walk, a 12.5 km route through varied terrain. Breathtaking and almost completely human-empty. We agreed that there’s definitely something to complementary colors. And we also agreed that we’re actually doing quite well.
The next day, we tried The Pinnacle Lookout via Grand Canyon, a 4 km hike. It doesn’t sound like much, but it went uphill quite a bit. Despite the incline, spirits were high. A magical weekend.
